About Us
Aquaculture Courses was set up in 2015 to collate flexible online learning solutions through access to quality education resources whenever and wherever you want.
Working in partnership with the University of St Andrews, UMASS, Boston, Fish Vet Group and the FAI Academy our aquaculture courses offer multiple opportunities at different entry levels.

Today, the University hosts over 10,000 students as well as offering flexible, part time learning delivered 100% online for anyone looking to accelerate their career development in aquaculture or those who have practical work experience in the aquaculture industry but no formal qualifications.

Our courses aim to address the many challenges of the global aquaculture industry with strong components drawing directly on experience from the fields of marine and fresh water aquaculture.

The University of Massachusetts Boston is nationally recognized as a model of excellence for urban public universities in the United States.
UMass Boston’s academic excellence is reflected by a student body of 15,989 undergraduate and graduate students. In fall 2019, the university’s nine colleges and schools offered 79 undergraduate programs (bachelor’s degrees, undergraduate certificates, post-baccalaureate certificates) and 114 graduate programs (master’s degrees, doctoral degrees, graduate certificates, CAGS, and post-master’s certificates).
The University offers over 180 degrees and certificates online, and more than 1500 online courses offered annually with the Introduction to Sustainable Marine Aquaculture program a key part of this offering.
fai.academy is proud to have partnered with UMASS Boston to deliver the modules in this program on their behalf.

FVG has partnered with fai.academy to deliver it’s groundbreaking RSPCA recognised course in the Health and Welfare of Atlantic Salmon.
In any production animal industry, maintaining a high level of welfare is intrinsic to the success of the businesses involved – so health and welfare training for staff working on fish farms is always important.
