The course is aimed at those trying to break in to the growing and rapidly expanding aquaculture industry or those already working in the field, looking to add additional expertise to their skillset.
The for-credit SMA Undergraduate Certificate is primarily for UMass Boston students, students enrolled at other US colleges and universities, and students from around the world who seek a US education. Students take 6 courses (18 credits) that provide opportunities for them to explore many aspects of the field.
The non-credit SMA Undergraduate Certificate enables individuals to quickly gain basic knowledge for entry into the workforce. It also provides professional development options for individuals seeking to change positions, retrain for a new career, and for international workforce development to obtain institution credentials.
